So Helix is a brand that recently revamped its plus mattress, it looks a little different. Nowadays, there is a little more to consider on the matter. And today we’re going to take a look at the top five things you need to know about the Helix Plus mattress, or at least its recently updated version. The first thing you need to know about the Helix Plus is that it’s a hybrid option with a more supportive design than your average hybrid bed. The bed has a combination of a titanium core coil on the bottom for support and a higher density transition and comfort foam on top for comfort, helping to give this mattress an extremely supportive design. It is designed to support a significant amount of weight each night. I think Helix even claims it can support 2 people at £500 at a time and that’s a lot of weight. We often recommend that heavier people look for hybrid beds as opposed to all Fs, just because the coils on the bottom provide much more long-term support. And this is especially true if you are much heavier. If you’re above the £300 range, you want an ultra-supportive coil option like this, just to give your body type the right amount of overnight support. The second thing to know about the Helix Plus is what this design adds to the bed’s feel. We’d say it has more of a neutral hybrid feel. Overall, it just feels like a very simple coil mattress with a comfortable feel that should appeal to a wide variety of bedroom types. To me, the updated version of the Helix Plus mattress looks a lot like the Helix Twilight model. Just a little more responsive and a little more durable. When you jump on this mattress, you will feel good bounce and resistance. But if you’re a little heavier, you might sink into the bed and feel it a little softer than a regular gel. But that brings me nicely to the third important thing you need to know about him, which is, of course, his toughness. We would rate it right at a suitable mid-sized firm. This is very similar to other ultra supportive hybrid options online. They tend to be around that firm rating, and that’s simply because they’re designed to be a little stiffer and more supportive. So this bed will be best mostly for back and stomach sleepers. But again, if you’re a little heavier, closer to average might feel better for you for all sleep styles. In general, larger people tend to sink into beds a little more than people of average height, finding them a little softer. So that’s something to keep in mind. If you’re on the heavier side, you’ll probably find the bed to be quite soft. Now, in addition to the Helix Plus mattress, it has a new look similar to the six other Helix core mattresses. This update also introduced Helix Plus Lux and Helix Plus Elite to the Helix lineup. So you have two other versions of the Helix Plus mattress to look at. These days both feature a more pronounced pillow top feel and I believe these beds even have a bit of an area support feature. So if you have nighttime back pain, it might be worth looking into these options. And if you don’t already know, Helix is a brand that probably makes the most mattresses of any mattress brand online. In fact, they do so much that they offer an online sleep test where you basically fill out a short questionnaire. It asks you a series of questions related to your BM and your sleep preferences. Finally, it basically spits out the right mattress for you based on the responses you submit. And it kind of takes all the guesswork out of it because the Helix range is so extensive. But the fifth and last thing you need to know about this recently updated Helix plus core model is its price. Note that these prices change for me depending on the time of year you decide to buy. So this is as of the time I’m writing this, but right now you can get a Helix plus and a queen size for around the $1200 range after discount. Whereas other ultra-supportive hybrid beds go over the $2,000 mark. I think you’re getting a solid bang for your buck here. You get an extremely supportive hybrid mattress at a decent price. We’ll try to link all the discounts we can find for the Helix plus mattress below in the description box. We definitely want to help you save as much money as possible on it. But that leaves us with the question of which will ultimately be best for this mattress or the recently updated version of the Helix Plus, I’d say check it out if you’re on the heavier side and looking for an ultra supportive hybrid option with a neutral feel that is slightly firmer. And you want something that is fairly reasonably priced for a bed of this supporting caliber. Again, beds like the Sava HD big fig cost a lot more and I think this bed is even more affordable than the Titan Plus, which is solid value in itself.
