Police appeal after five injured, two critically, in horror Brisbane crash

The Mercedes-Benz and Toyota Landcruiser collided at the intersection of Renoir Crescent on Forest Lake Boulevard in the city at around 10.10pm on Saturday.

The 28-year-old Mercedes-Benz driver, who is from the south Brisbane was rushed to hospital along with his three companions.

They were a 22-year-old man from Forest Lake, another 22-year-old man from Doolandella and a 20-year-old woman from Redbank.

The other driver, a 52-year-old Forest Lake woman, was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Two of the patients are in critical condition.

Footage from the scene shows two vehicles lying upside down on the road.

Queensland Ambulance Service Dr Stephen Rashford said five ambulances and two intensive care paramedics were sent to what he called a “very high impact crash”.

“All patients suffered a combination of life-threatening injuries, including internal bleeding and fractures,” he said.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

They are also looking for anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage of the white 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG coupe with Queensland registration DPN168
